This year, the Hudson Valley Basket Brigade faces a new set of never before felt challenges:
Food Shortages
Food shortages / supply issues are making it difficult to buy enough food for families in our community that are in need. Many shelves are bare or empty and we may not be able to purchase enough food in time for the holidays.
Surge In Need
Inflation and the state of our economy have increased the demand as families are struggling more than ever. This year, we have the largest list of families in need we have ever had.
Fearful Donors
Donors are holding on tighter to their assets as a result of an unstable economy and economic uncertainty. This year, we have record-low donations to support the basket brigade.
If you find yourself with more than you need, please consider making a tax-deductible donation by clicking “donate” in the menu. If you can’t donate, please share our social posts like they are going out of style or consider taking up a collection of food. You can also drop off any non-perishable food items you have at any of our donation centers.
